Wow. It's been a while.

I guess I am not into this blog thing as much as I had hoped. It appears that it has been a few months since my last post.

So, what have I done? A lot.

The year 2009 has proven to be very stressful, but also full of many surprises.

School has been rough. Terribly rough, and all things seemed lost until just recently.

So, what have I been up to?

Well, I have put all of my PalmOS projects on hold. Rather, they have moved to part time projects. I have two of them. One of them is Universe Classic (my second attempt at WebKit [lite] on the PalmOS). We'll see how they go. I throw some code up on the net when I get it done.

I am moving my company in a slightly different direction. I need a really cool project for my senior project in school, and well, porting WebKit just does not seem like something that will move the human race forward (it will benefit, but only a few).

I also interned at Palm (again) this last summer. That was from about mid-June until last weekend (mid-September). I got to work on WebKit there, and stay pretty busy.

Around mid-August I went to Fairfield to help David Burgess and Harvind Samra prepare for an OpenBTS (http://openbts.sourceforge.net/) test run during Burning Man 2009 (http://www.buriningman.com/, http://openbts.sourceforge.net/FieldTest2/).

Here are some photos that I took: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dkirker/sets/72157622181000152/

Unfortunatly, I did not get to go along with them to Burning Man. :( I am making plans (well in advance) to go next summer. :)

Anyway, my reason for this slight change in direction is to better focus on school. I've made a few mistakes with regards to school and cannot afford to make them again. I also need some class related projects to make things fun and interesting.

Here's to class starting tomorrow (on Tuesday, strange).
