Music Store, v. 1.0
I demoed a project a while back to the Stanford Palm User Group (SPUG: http://pobox.com/~spug/). I promised a video and screen shots because some aspects of the service were not working. I have yet to do that... Yet! Except, that will change.
Over the last few months my life has been pretty busy, but when I could, I was toying around with development on my favorite operating system, PalmOS (now co-favorite with webOS). I admit, I did not have a ton of time to spend on the PalmOS. But, I decided that since I had never really finished a project outside of Universe I would give something else a try. This is when Music Store was born. I like the idea of Web 2.0 and what webOS was bringing, so I decided to bring a little bit of that magic to the PalmOS.
I will now guide you through Music Store v. 1.0. :)
The first thing that the user sees is the beautiful welcome screen.
The user can then enter any search term into the search bar and receive the results.
Once the results load the user can then click the album art to preview the song using Pocket Tunes (Pocket Tunes Deluxe is required: http://www.pocket-tunes.com/).
By clicking the song/album title, or by click the artist's name, a new search will be kicked off.
The user can also click the button with the price to load up the Amazon page for that song in the default web browser.
This app will go on sale for $1.99 from MobiHand soon. I am currently waiting on a reply from Amazon, since the application uses data from their Product Advertising service. Read section 4e here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/advertising/api/detail/agreement.html
