Website Woes

Some parts of the world may have issues accessing the website (possibly even this blog!).

I upgraded my network and changed where the DNS was hosted. In the processes it seems that I may have screwed a few things up. Pending the DNS Time To Live expiring (this is what tells DNS servers how often they should update themselves with data from a domain's primary DNS server) some things may not work.

No where through googling could i find this answer. Strange how many people don't really care about palm OS 5 anymore. Kinda sad. Was the grandson of modern PD's and cellphone's..

I agree, as cool as webos is it won't be available as standalone PDA, I need a PDA not a phone, so i'm sticking with palmos, I'd have really liked to see Universe completed

Universe v.3.0 was released in beta, at which point it was determined that the source was becoming old and nasty.

Currently the project is "stale," unless I can find another path for it. The PalmOS is slowly dying, and not really a good platform to target for making a business.

All of the code that I have created and worked on to date for the WebKit port for Universe v4.0 is here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/palmos-webkit/

The old v3.0 source code will need to be relocated. It will be available with the new website.

Hi, i tried to use Universe on my Centro and could not open a single page. only the safari look start and nothing more.

Since you are involved with WebOS, is Palm at least gonna make a new browser and good one for old models (like mine), or ppl with old devices are screwed?

Pls, if Palm is not gonna make new stuff for Palm OS 5, at least try to finish Universe 4 or remake stuff on 3 to open new stuff...

DonĀ“t know anything about developing but since you know, at least make an effort to finish that, because for people with no money to buy a Pre (since its gonna take at least 1 year to be available on my country) Palm OS is not dying...

I cannot speak on behalf of Palm.

I will look into continuing Universe for the PalmOS, as well as on other platforms.

Thanks for offering to look into continuing Universe. I really don't think the Pre will be for me. I have just bought another Treo 680 as a backup. I love the Treo and with a decent browser it would be near perfect for what I want.
